Shatterhold is developed and published by GLI Interactive LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you play Shatterhold.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Steam ID and Display Name — provided by Steam when you log in. We do not collect your Steam password.
• Session Tokens — temporary authentication tokens stored locally on your device. These expire after 7 days.

Gameplay Data

• Game Progress — your Hold buildings, resources, character level, expedition history, and world map state.
• Multiplayer Data — your actions during Surge events (kills, damage dealt, time alive) for leaderboard and reward calculations.
• Timestamps — when you last played, for idle production calculations.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Real names, email addresses, or physical addresses
• Payment information (all purchases are handled by Steam)
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
• Analytics or tracking data from third-party services

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity via Steam
• To save and restore your game progress
• To calculate idle production and defense outcomes
• To match you with other players in multiplayer Surge events
• To maintain regional and global leaderboards
• To process in-game trades between players

4. How We Store Your Data

Your game data is stored on secure cloud servers (Neon PostgreSQL hosted via Vercel). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Database backups are performed daily and retained for 30 days.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your Steam Display Name and game statistics (kills, level, leaderboard rank) are visible to other players within the game.

6. Data Retention

We retain your game data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to have your data deleted, contact us and we will remove all data associated with your Steam ID within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Shatterhold is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of leaderboard visibility

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
